If you are looking for the closest thing to 26th street carne en su hugo, they have my vote! It was very good. Will be coming back for sure.

I went here for lunch. I will say from the look of the place, needs a little remodel, it looks old. There are a good number of tables.Chips and salsa were brought to the table. The salsa was fresh and very flavorful. Yum!I had the Burrito A La Mexicana. It is filled with grilled steak, tomatoes, onions, and jalapeño peppers. If you don't like spicy food this probably isn't for you. It was excellent. The steak was cooked perfectly. The flavor was amazing.The rice and beans were also great. The beans were cooked perfectly. The flavor was also great. The rice was also cooked perfectly.I also had a Jamaica drink. It was very good.The people were friendly.I will return.Bicycling: Oakton is just okay for riding. It can get busy. The DesPlaines River Trail is about a mile east of here. There is no official bicycle parking in front. They also don't have any outdoor seating.

Hands down the best price points vs quality in this part of town. Actually, the quality of food far out weighs the cost. Add to the equation the chips, fresh made salsa (if dining indoors), awesomeness of the wait staff, the cooks, and their devotion to producing quality is a match made in heaven

This place gave me the runs.. Will never go there again. As I went to go pay I noticed the kitchen was filthy as hell!! Also smelled real bad as I was paying. I recommend before sitting at a table walk up to register as your going to order look at the kitchen surrounding you'll see what your eating..

I know it's a simple thing but their cheese quesadillas are amazing! ... For something so simple to be so amazingly good - I knew I was in a great place! Their rice and beans are the absolute best I've had - ever! Again, something so simple packed with so much h flavor! Writing this is seriously making me hungry. Go there - you will not be disappointed. :)

Really good food! Steak burritos are my go-to at this place. Friendly staff, fresh and tasty food. Good portions for the price as well. My favorite local place by far.

Great service. Our waitress was also the cashier. She wasted no time, was always coming back to the table and asking if we wanted refills, and if we liked everything. Also, the food was made very quickly (and it was made fresh, not just re-heated). Good atmosphere, great place.

I absolutely love this place! I used to go there when they first opened, then I left for 12 years and came back and they’re still one of the best places for Tacos in Des Plaines. I typically go 2-3 times a week for lunch and get either tacos or a burrito and get either chicken or steak and it’s always the best. They always have my order ready in 10 minutes or less and are very good to their customers. I highly recommend this restaurant!
